Travel Gear Baby/Toddler

I must admit I still overpack, I would always rather have more than not enough. I have overheard multiple mothers on flights asking if anyone had an extra diaper.

Travel Boppy: I carried a boppy until DMC was about 12months, he was a lap baby on the flight and he nursed.

Car seat/stroller cover: it's just cleaner, you don't need to buy the fancy backpack kind. As a baby we checked the car seat and checked the stroller at the plane door. As a toddler we check the stroller and bring the car seat on the plane. A cover also has handle which can be helpful.

Car seat cart: we always bring our carseat (Britax) on the plane. It works like a charm for DMC, he is use to his carseat, he stays put, and he naps well in his carseat. Plus he is comfortable in a huge adult plane seat. The carseat cart doubles as a stroller and can be stored in the overhead bin.

Travel Highchair: traveling internationally (Spain, France, and Italy) it is difficult to find Highchairs. A majority of family resorts and hotels will have them. The smaller local restaurants may offer you seat cushions because they do not have highchairs. I always carried one until DMC was 2 years old.

Travel Bathtub: traveling in Europe sometimes we had a bathtub sometimes we did not. The travel bathtub worked until DMC was about 2 years old. Even if a hotel has a bathtub, there may not be a nonslip mat. I felt safer have a smaller contained tub.

Travel Bedrail for toddler: we have never had an issue finding a crib anywhere we stay. The new issue was DMC growing/climbing out of the playpen or crib. So we now typically have him sleep in a bed or with us. I always use the travel bedrail for piece of mind.

Travel Folding Potty Seat: I have been using this potty seat for travel and keep it in my purse (ziploc frezzer bag) during errands, soccer, etc.

Suitcase for baby/toddler: we found a great size kids suitcase at Target, it works for our two week trips. It is easier carrying everything in one suitcase. But once you start adding snacks, toys, etc into the mix you run out of room for your self.
